The Kena Bridge of Spirits Trophy Guide is now available! This is an uncomplicated platinum award. About half the trophies are automatic storey unlocks, a quarter is combat-related, and the other quarter is for locating all Collectibles of each class. To get platinum, you must complete the game completely, which includes collecting all 210 collectibles and beating it on the hardest difficulty setting. Because of the difficulty that the Master difficulty is not available from the start, you must beat the game once on any difficulty (the easiest would work) and then restart it on Master difficulty. Because the highest difficulty isn’t available from the start you must beat the game once on any difficulty to unlock it (the least difficulty will suffice) and then replay it a second time on Master difficulty. However, there is an exploit that allows you to completely bypass Master difficulty (see Roadmap Step 3). The only trophies worth pursuing are those associated with battle, as adversaries do not respawn. But with some clever saves (described in Roadmap Step 1) you can go back to crucial areas fast. Please keep in mind that there is no save game transfer between the PS4/PS5 versions, thus if you want to platinum both console versions, you will have to restart everything and cannot autopop the trophies.
Step 1: Complete the story on any difficulty and earn any combat-related trophies.
Because Master difficulty isn’t available right away, you’ll have to beat the game on any other difficulty before you can access it. This can be accomplished by selecting “Story Mode” and playing at the lowest level of difficulty. Along the journey, keep an eye out for combat-related awards, as they are all technically missable. Outside of the main tale, there are only a few monsters to face, and they don’t respawn. Assuming you miss something, have no fear; you’ll need a second game on Master difficulty anyway (if you don’t use the exploit), and you can complete it then. As an added bonus, if you gain the “Dash” Ability, keep your manual save games from Forgotten Forest, Fields, and Village Heart and reload them to get the combat trophies. Many of the Collectibles will not be available during your initial visit to a place, and some will be unlocked automatically as part of the storey later in the game. You can take whatever you find on your own, but cleaning up Collectibles after the tale is much easier when you have access to all skills and fast travel locations. You should also use your skill points as soon as you can afford to learn a new skill. There have been complaints of a bug that resets your skill points at random. Normally, storey and collectibles give you more than enough points to complete all of your abilities, but if your skill points were reset as a result of the bug, you wouldn’t be able to get the trophy for completing all of your skills.
Step 2: Collectibles Cleanup
Following the storey, you are taken to the Title Screen. Simply clicking “Continue” will take you back to the beginning of the final cutscene. From there you can return to all regions and still locate all Collectibles. There are a total of 210 Collectibles (100 Rots, 51 Hats, 24 Flower Shrines, 10 Spirit Mail, 13 Cursed Chests, 12 Meditation Spots). Trophies necessitate the use of everything. Except for Meditation Spots, which are not tracked, each zone has a tracker on the map.
Step 3: Perform a Difficulty Playthrough (or Exploit)
The final and most hardest step for Platinum is completing Master Difficulty. There is no New Game+ option, so you need to start a whole new game from scratch. Simply replay the game on this difficulty level a second time. If you missed any fight trophies previously you can do them along the way too. If you bought the game before patch 1.06 and never updated it, you’re in luck. This hack works on both PS4 and PS5 up to Patch 1.05 (and all previous patches). However, this has been corrected as of 1.06 and no longer works. You can do this only if you purchased the game before to the patch and never updated it:
