1. Halloween (1978) 7.7/10
It is Halloween night in 1963, and the year is 1963. There has been a call for police at 43 Lampkin Ln. only to find out that Judith Myers, who was 15 years old, had been stabbed to death by her younger brother Michael, who was only 6 years old. Myers escapes from the mental facility where he has been held for the previous 15 years the night before Halloween. The only person who knows what will take place on October 31, 1978, is Myers’ psychiatrist, Dr. Loomis, and no one else cares or wants to find out. 2. Scream (1996) 7.4/10
Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), along with her pals, began receiving mysterious phone calls approximately one year after the passing of her mother. They found out later that the calls originated from a deranged serial killer who wore a white face mask and a big black robe, and he was out for vengeance. His phone calls often consist of a number of inquiries, the most pressing of which is, “What is your preferred horror film?” Along with a lot of information about terrifying movies, it culminated with bloody fragments of innocent life being dispersed over the neighborhood of Woodsboro. 3. The Cabin In The Woods (2011) 7/10
Five young adults decide to spend the weekend in a remote cottage in the woods by themselves. When they arrived, they discovered that they were completely cut off from the rest of the world and had no way of connecting with anybody else. As soon as the door to the cellar flings open on its own, they head down there to look into the matter. They discover an unusual collection of artifacts and curiosities, but when one of the ladies, Dana, reads from a book, she reawakens a family of vicious zombie killers. 4. Final Destination (2000) 6.7/10
Alex is getting ready to board a plane for a school trip to France when all of a sudden he has a foreboding feeling that the jet is about to crash. Alex, along with a group of kids and his teacher, is hurled out of the plane just before it is about to explode, much to the shock and terror of everyone on board. As each of the survivors falls prey to Death’s scheme, it is up to Alex to figure out what he has in store. Alex must evade capture by the FBI at the same time as he is working to avert the next loss of life. The FBI is of the opinion that he was responsible for the explosion. 5. Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010) 7.5/10
Two loving hillbillies are on their way to their holiday cottage, which is described as a “fixer-upper,” where they plan to fish, drink beer, and generally have a good time. However, things go from bad to worse for Tucker and Dale on their vacation when they come across a bunch of privileged college students who, based solely on their appearance, conclude that the two men must be inbred, chainsaw-wielding killers. 6. Evil Dead II (1987) 7.7/10
Ashley Williams and his fiancée Linda go to a remote cabin in the woods, where they discover a cassette recording of a professor as well as a book of evil. This sets free a horde of malevolent spirits that harass Ash on a continuous basis. In the meantime, a journalist travels to the region in order to conduct research on the book of evil. 7. Army of Darkness (1992) 7.4/10
When Ash and his companions are transported to the year 1,300 A.D., Lord Arthur is waiting for them there, and he will sell them all into slavery along with Duke Henry the Red and a few of his warriors. Ash is respected by Arthur’s troops and vassals after he proves his mettle in a pit by vanquishing two monsters and earning their trust. Although the Wiseman identifies Ash as The Chosen One who will collect the Necronomicon, Ash is merely concerned in going back to his own house. Ash makes the decision to go to the horrible country of the Deadites after discovering that the Necronomicon is the only option for him to journey back in time to his own time. The Wiseman tells him that in order to obtain the corrupt book without risking his life, he must utter the phrase “Klaatu Barada Nikto.” However, Ash fails to remember the final phrase, which causes an army of the undead to rise from their graves and assault Arthur’s citadel in order to retrieve the Necronomicon. The war between the living and the dead is about to begin, and the only way for Ash and Arthur to be successful in vanquishing the army of darkness is with the assistance of Henry the Red. When a new neighbor comes in next door, Charley learns he is an old vampire who preys on the community. Can he protect his community from the monster with the aid of the renowned “vampire hunter” Peter Vincent? Edward “Evil Ed”. Lee is a teenager living in Las Vegas, Nevada. He claims that his new neighbor, Jerry Dandrige, is a vampire. When Charley discovers this, he tells Ed that he is crazy and does not want to be friends with him anymore. Charley, Jane, and Amy Peterson are possessed by a vampire named Jerry. Peter refuses to help Charley after learning that his parents were killed by the same vampire (later revealed to be Jerry). However, he gives Charley a stake blessed by Saint Michael that will kill Jerry and turn all his victims back into humans. Charley and Peter are led to the basement of a vampire called Jerry. They are attacked by many of Jerry’s victims, including Amy. Peter is able to kill a few before his weapon backfires. In 1981, teenager Tina Gray awakened from a terrifying nightmare wherein a disfigured man wearing a blade-fixed glove attacked her in a boiler room. The next day, Nancy’s policeman father, Don Thompson, arrests Rod despite his pleas of innocence. Nancy visits Rod at the police station, describing Tina’s death and his recent nightmares about the same man stalking her in her dreams. Nancy dreams of a man who kills her friend Rod by wrapping bed sheets around his neck, staging it as suicide via hanging. In her dream, Nancy sees the man prepare to kill Rod in his cell, but then he turns his attention toward her. With the name “Fred Krueger” written on it, Nancy grabs the man’s fedora and pulls it into the real world. She tries to call Glen to warn him, but his father prevents her from speaking to him. Dr. Karen Fletcher is concerned when she realizes that “Dennis” has been impersonating “Barry” during their sessions. Dennis kidnaps three girls and locks them in a secret underground lair beneath the Philadelphia Zoo. The girls try to escape by going through the vents, manipulating Kevin’s alters, and communicating via walkie-talkie. Kevin begs Casey to kill him, and she manages to shoot him twice before running out of ammo. Because she is pure, Patricia spares Casey’s life; she is rescued the following day by the police. After a sexual encounter, a young woman is followed by an unknown supernatural entity. A young woman named Annie flees from her house in fear, but there is no visible threat. She takes her parents’ car and drives to the beach, where she tearfully tells her Dad over the phone she loves him. By dawn, it is revealed that she had been brutally murdered. Jaime “Jay” Height goes on a date with her new boyfriend, Hugh, to the movies. Hugh explains that he has passed an entity onto her through intercourse. Jay encounters an entity that began pursuing her after a one-night stand with Hugh Redmond. The group discovers Hugh’s real name – Jeff Redmond – and traces him to his address. Jay’s friends ward it off by breaking a chair over its body, and Jay shoots it several times until it falls over, but it recovers unharmed. The entity attacks Jay again, this time taking the form of a boy who lives next door to Jay. Jay sees the entity in the form of Greg’s half-naked mother knocking on his door before it jumps on Greg. 15. Summer of 84 (2018) 6.7/10
After thinking that their police officer’s neighbor is a serial killer, a group of teenagers spend the summer spying on him and collecting evidence, but as they get closer to the truth, the situation becomes increasingly hazardous. A total of thirteen teenage boys have disappeared in Cape May, Oregon, over the course of a decade, but their disappearances have never been connected. The boys document Mackey’s daily routine and discover many suspicious activities. They present their evidence to Davey’s parents, who are outraged at the boys, calling their investigation vandalism. One of the boys, Eats, discovers that the bags of soil he was carrying were actually for a city beautification project. 16. Time Lapse (2014) 6.5/10
The film stars Finn (Matt O’Leary), a painter with a creative block, and his best friend Jasper (George Finn). A strange machine takes Polaroid photos of their living room’s picture window 24 hours in the future. After a week they get a disturbing photo of Callie kissing Jasper while Finn paints in the background. Jasper and Finn are forced to pose for photos with many event results for bookie Ivan to make bets on. Ivan’s goon, Marcus threatens all of them, but Jasper convinces him that tonight’s new photo is of Ivan’s death at Marcus’ hands. Marcus, Finn, and Jasper kill their friend Mr. B to retrieve a photo that covers the next night, taken before his death. Dr. Heidecker theorizes that “time” did not kill him – he knocked over a coil in his storage unit, and it released gas. Jasper locks Finn in Mr. B’s storage unit and intends to prevent a paradox, ensuring the photo happens, no matter what. Finn discovers that the camera also takes a photo at 8 AM, a truth that Callie kept to herself. A fight ensues, culminating with Callie smashing Jasper’s head in. Click Here To Watch The Trailer
17. Frozen (2010) 6.2/10
Three skiers caught on a chairlift are forced to make life-or-death decisions that are more dangerous than freezing to death in place. Dan Walker, his girlfriend Parker O’Neil, and his best friend Joe Lynch are stuck on a ski lift at a ski resort. They convince the operator to let them go on one last run down the mountain before the resort closes. As they argue over how to escape, Dan jumps off the chair in an attempt to get help.
